Image Hard L/R Alignment

The payment waterfall ensures that each payment is sent via the fastest available rail. When a user submits a payment, the fastest rail is attempted, then the next fastest, and so on as demonstrated below.

The available methods include:

  • Real-time/Same-day: Virtual cards enable real-time and same-day payments. When a customer schedules a payment, a one-time-use virtual card is created specifically for the transaction. When the transaction is completed, the virtual card can no longer be used for any other purpose. The use of a virtual card has no impact on the user’s credit score.
  • Electronic Biller Network (EBN): An EBN is a network of billers to which payments can be made electronically. BillGO uses a variety of networks to ensure that more bills can be paid as quickly as possible.
  • Paper check: Paper checks are used when virtual card and EBN are not supported, or to pay an individual.

Below is a summary of each of the available payment methods in order of how they are attempted.
